Notebook subtitled "A Table of the different tests or reagents by which the various ingredients that compose mineral waters may be detected." A list of 116 tests follows, and then the "Effect Produced" by each test is recorded. Tests mentioned include Hahnemann's Wine Test, Volta's eudiometer, and Scheele's green. Some of Volta's work was available in English by 1800. Notebook might have been compiled in the 1820s(?).
